About Ann McCallum
My name is Ann McCallum, and I live north of Toronto in Southern Ontario. I have been married to Keith for more than 40 years, and have 3 children and 10 grandchildren. I am a Spiritual Director, trained at Emmaus Formation Centre where I currently am employed part-time as Administrative Assistant. I have also completed training as a Supervisor for Spiritual Directors through Spiritual Directors International.
Before practicing Spiritual Direction, I was the Executive Director of Highlands Youth for Christ for 22 years. During this busy time, I found myself longing for a simpler life. I stumbled into the Contemplative Practices and began to practice stillness, silence and listening prayer; these have changed my life. My blog is a result of many years of journaling, which for me is nothing more than writing out prayers to the Lord in response to His word and what He is teaching me. When I began to realize how many other Christians seemed to be longing for more, and who are tired of living a sort of Christian half-life, I decided to start writing my devotionals down and sharing them with others.
As a Spiritual Director, I now offer Spiritual retreats both in person and online; I also write guided meditative hikes that you can find under the Resources tab. If you’re interested in online Spiritual Direction, I would love to hear from you.
I would love your feedback. You can email me at christiancontemplative@gmail.com. God bless you in your effort to seek Him with all truth.
